The NAACP San Mateo Branch proudly invites you to our 99th Anniversary Celebration & Herby Dawkins Awards Gala, an evening dedicated to honoring our past, empowering the present, and safeguarding the future of civil rights and justice, while supporting, empowering and uplifting Black women.

As we approach a century of advocacy here in San Mateo County, we find ourselves at a critical juncture. The progress we’ve fought for—civil rights, DEI programs, and protections against racism and discrimination—are under attack. Now, more than ever, we must stand together to resist these efforts and continue building pathways for the next generation of leaders in the fight for justice and equality. Your support is key!

This year's gala will not only commemorate our rich history but also reaffirm our commitment to defending the rights of marginalized communities, empowering future leaders, and ensuring that the safeguards created by the NAACP remain strong and unshaken.
